“Wait, Coaching Costs What?!”: The Real Deal on Life & Career Coaching with Me

So you’ve booked an initial call with me—yay, I’m thrilled! You’re probably curious, excited, maybe a little nervous. You're ready to talk about your career crossroads, the restlessness that won’t shut up, and maybe that nagging voice inside that whispers, “Is this all there is?”
But let me guess: when it comes to understanding how much coaching actually costs… you have no clue. Like, zero. Nada. You’re thinking it’s like $80 an hour, maybe $100 tops—because that’s what your therapist charges or what your Pilates instructor costs. I get it.
But here’s the truth: coaching—especially the kind I do—is not a punch card for sessions. It’s not transactional. It’s not an “as needed” pep talk or a venting session. It’s a transformational partnership. And transformation doesn’t happen in one tidy hour.
Let’s be real: if it did, you wouldn’t need me.
Why This Isn’t “Coaching by the Hour”
Let me be blunt (because if we work together, you’ll learn I don’t sugarcoat): if you’re trying to figure out what I do by calculating some hourly rate, you’re thinking about this all wrong. This is not Uber. It's not therapy. It's not tutoring. It's coaching for your whole damn life and career, and it's designed to shake things up in a good way.
I don’t offer one-off sessions because you don’t change your life in one session. Hell, you don’t even realize what your real obstacle is in one session. What you think is the issue (your job title, your resume, your burnout) is often just the surface-level crap. We go deeper. We figure out what patterns you're stuck in, what you’re avoiding, what you’re truly craving, and how to actually get there without blowing up your life (unless blowing it up is the right move… then we’ll do it strategically).
This takes time. Trust. Commitment. It’s a process, not a pit stop.
My Coaching Is Holistic—Because You’re Not a Walking LinkedIn Profile
Here’s where I’m different: I don’t just talk career. I talk you. The WHOLE you. Because if you don’t deal with the whole damn package—your beliefs, your health, your energy, your relationships, your fear of failure—then you’re just dragging the same exhausted self to the next job, the next relationship, or the next “solution” that won’t work either.
You are the common denominator. (And yes, that stings a little. But it’s also empowering as hell.)
When we work together, we unpack the patterns that got you stuck and build the foundation that’ll finally get you moving in a direction that’s yours. It’s life and career coaching for a reason: they’re not separate. You don’t get a different brain at work than you have at home. You bring you wherever you go. So let’s work with that.
Let’s Talk Money—Because It Matters
Here’s the part most people avoid, but I won’t: coaching costs money. Not because coaches are greedy (we’re not), but because coaching is valuable. It changes lives. But too many people come to discovery calls having no idea what coaching costs in the real world.
So here it is: Industry-wide, monthly coaching rates range from $500 to $5,000. That’s not a typo. It depends on the coach’s experience, expertise, and the type of coaching you’re getting.
Where am I on that spectrum? I’m not at the top end—yet—but I’m also not just starting out. I’ve been a coach for years. I’m board certified. I’ve taught other coaches how to do this work. I’ve helped people leave careers they hated, heal their work-life burnout, reclaim their damn sanity, and finally choose what’s next with confidence.
So yeah, my rates reflect that experience.
But OMG—Sticker Shock!
If you're feeling sticker shock, good. You're normal. You’re human. Money can be triggering when you’re about to invest in something intangible but powerful. Your brain screams, “Is this worth it? Can I trust this? What if it doesn’t work?”
That’s exactly why you need a coach. Left to your own devices, you’ll rationalize your way back to staying stuck. You’ll keep spinning in analysis paralysis, doubting yourself, and settling for “fine.” (Spoiler alert: “fine” is code for “slowly dying inside.”)
If you’re serious about making a change—if you want off the hamster wheel—then investing in the right coach is a powerful, gutsy first step.
What You’re Actually Paying For
You’re not paying for my time. You’re paying for:
My experience helping people navigate real change
My bullshit radar, honed from years of coaching high-achievers
A structured path and real support, not a cheerleader
My commitment to your growth—because I don’t half-ass this, and neither should you
You’re investing in you, not in me.
Final Word: Let’s Be Adults
Before we meet on a call, please come prepared knowing that coaching is a real investment of time, energy, and yes, money. If you’re looking for someone to talk to once a month for $75, I’m not your person—and that’s okay.
But if you’re ready to go all in on creating a life and career that actually works for you, then buckle up, because I am so your person.
Let’s do this.
